Description

✦ On the Horse. In Balance. Just About.

A pale, cream-coloured horse stands still against a field of deep olive — its neck long, its expression curiously alert, its body rendered with the particular simplicity of ancient votive figures or children's drawings that have somehow become art. Atop it, a simplified black stick figure grips a long balancing pole, the kind used by tightrope walkers, arms outstretched to either side. The whole image hovers between earnest and absurd, between primitive and knowing.
